Where it fits
Where it fits
A laptop lid, a toolbox, a rear window corner or a gear case. Any hard, smooth surface takes a decal: glass, paint, metal, hard plastic. Read how to apply a vinyl decal before it goes on.
How it goes on
How it goes on
- Wash the spot with soapy water, dry it, then wipe it with rubbing alcohol.
- Tape the decal across its middle, step back and check it sits level.
- Peel one half of the backing, press from the tape outward with a card, then do the other half.
- Peel the top sheet back on itself, slowly and close to the surface.
About this design
A monkey hauling a giant wrench

A crouching monkey hauls an open-end wrench over its shoulder that is nearly as long as its own body, tail curling up behind and one bare foot planted forward. The figure is drawn in thick outline rather than a filled shape, so your paint shows through the body. The wrench jaws and the tail read from a distance, and the little face reads up close.
Square art like this fits the lid of a rolling tool chest, right where your hand lands when you pull a drawer. It belongs with you if you do your own brake jobs on a Saturday and keep a creeper under the bench.

Before it goes on glass
Keep any decal off the windshield. On the rear window, California, Texas and Florida tie a decal to outside mirrors on both sides, New York bars stickers its DMV commissioner has not authorized, and your own state may differ, so read its vehicle code.
