Where it fits

Along the bottom of a rear window, a bumper, a tailgate or the top of a cargo door. Any hard, smooth surface takes a decal: glass, paint, metal, hard plastic. Read how to apply a vinyl decal before it goes on.

How it goes on

  1. Wash the spot with soapy water, dry it, then wipe it with rubbing alcohol.
  2. Tape the decal across its middle, step back and check it sits level.
  3. Peel one half of the backing, press from the tape outward with a card, then do the other half.
  4. Peel the top sheet back on itself, slowly and close to the surface.

About this design

Eat, sleep, then take the shot

Fork, spoon and knife fill the first frame, a sleeper in bed fills the second, and in the third a paintball player leans out from the edge with a marker aimed to the right. The player's body breaks the frame line top and bottom. All the shapes are solid, and the barrel is the thinnest part of the design.

Paintball players who head to the field every weekend can run the three panels across the lid of the gear case that holds the hopper and mask. Lined up with the case edge, the frames read in order: meal, sleep, game.

Before it goes on glass

Keep any decal off the windshield. On the rear window, California, Texas and Florida tie a decal to outside mirrors on both sides, New York bars stickers its DMV commissioner has not authorized, and your own state may differ, so read its vehicle code.
