Where it fits

A rear window corner, a toolbox lid, a cooler side or a laptop lid. Any hard, smooth surface takes a decal: glass, paint, metal, hard plastic. Read how to apply a vinyl decal before it goes on.

How it goes on

  1. Wash the spot with soapy water, dry it, then wipe it with rubbing alcohol.
  2. Tape the decal across its middle, step back and check it sits level.
  3. Peel one half of the backing, press from the tape outward with a card, then do the other half.
  4. Peel the top sheet back on itself, slowly and close to the surface.

About this design

A rifle standing in as a letter

"AK47" is spelled in wide, heavy capitals with flat ends, and the K is not a letter at all. A rifle stands upright in its place, barrel pointing up as the stem, with the curved magazine reaching out to form the arm. Every part is solid, without thin lines, so the word and the trick in the K both read clearly at a distance.

If you build or shoot this rifle, the lid of its hard case is a natural home, the rifle-shaped K standing upright. A range box front works too. Being die-cut, the gaps in the A and the 4 stay open to the surface underneath.

Before it goes on glass

Keep any decal off the windshield. On the rear window, California, Texas and Florida tie a decal to outside mirrors on both sides, New York bars stickers its DMV commissioner has not authorized, and your own state may differ, so read its vehicle code.
