Where it fits

A laptop lid, a toolbox, a rear window corner or a gear case. Any hard, smooth surface takes a decal: glass, paint, metal, hard plastic. Read how to apply a vinyl decal before it goes on.

How it goes on

  1. Wash the spot with soapy water, dry it, then wipe it with rubbing alcohol.
  2. Tape the decal across its middle, step back and check it sits level.
  3. Peel one half of the backing, press from the tape outward with a card, then do the other half.
  4. Peel the top sheet back on itself, slowly and close to the surface.

About this design

Two ducks whose necks make a heart

Two duck heads meet beak to beak at the top, and their long necks curve down and around to close into a heart. The duck on the left wears a small bow on top of its head. Everything is drawn as one even ribbon of line with a few solid touches at the bills and eyes, so the heart shape reads from far off and the faces up close.

Couples who share a blind: here is the sticker for the lid of your call box. With most of the heart open, the box itself fills the shape in, and the two bills meet right in the middle of the lid. It also makes a quiet anniversary gift for a hunting partner.

Before it goes on glass

Keep any decal off the windshield. On the rear window, California, Texas and Florida tie a decal to outside mirrors on both sides, New York bars stickers its DMV commissioner has not authorized, and your own state may differ, so read its vehicle code.
