Where it fits
Where it fits
Along the bottom of a rear window, a bumper, a tailgate or the top of a cargo door. Any hard, smooth surface takes a decal: glass, paint, metal, hard plastic. Read how to apply a vinyl decal before it goes on.
How it goes on
How it goes on
- Wash the spot with soapy water, dry it, then wipe it with rubbing alcohol.
- Tape the decal across its middle, step back and check it sits level.
- Peel one half of the backing, press from the tape outward with a card, then do the other half.
- Peel the top sheet back on itself, slowly and close to the surface.
About this design
A bird stretched flat in flight

Flattened into a long line, a bird glides to the left with its beak slightly open. The head, body and tail form one straight solid band that ends in a squared tail far to the right. A single wing sweeps down and back below the body, and its trailing edge splits into six short feather cuts. The long, low shape reads like a streak from a distance.
Kayak hulls are long and narrow, and the gliding bird fits along the side just behind the cockpit. Set it level so the crow seems to fly with the boat. Paddlers and birders who notice crows overhead will like the streak of it.

Before it goes on glass
Keep any decal off the windshield. On the rear window, California, Texas and Florida tie a decal to outside mirrors on both sides, New York bars stickers its DMV commissioner has not authorized, and your own state may differ, so read its vehicle code.
