Where it fits

Along the bottom of a rear window, a bumper, a tailgate or the top of a cargo door. Any hard, smooth surface takes a decal: glass, paint, metal, hard plastic. Read how to apply a vinyl decal before it goes on.

How it goes on

  1. Wash the spot with soapy water, dry it, then wipe it with rubbing alcohol.
  2. Tape the decal across its middle, step back and check it sits level.
  3. Peel one half of the backing, press from the tape outward with a card, then do the other half.
  4. Peel the top sheet back on itself, slowly and close to the surface.

About this design

Two plain lines of support

Rounded block capitals stack "God Bless Our Troops" in two even lines, God Bless above and Our Troops below. The letters are heavy and slightly soft at the corners, with simple round O shapes and an open R. There are no thin parts at all, so the words read cleanly from several car lengths back.

Center the two lines on a tailgate, just under the handle, where the stack sits about as wide as the tag below it. It speaks for you if someone in your family is deployed, if you served, or if you simply want a plain word of support on every drive.

Before it goes on glass

Keep any decal off the windshield. On the rear window, California, Texas and Florida tie a decal to outside mirrors on both sides, New York bars stickers its DMV commissioner has not authorized, and your own state may differ, so read its vehicle code.
